Divina Providência e compromisso ético

Resumo

O tempo presente coloca novas questões para a ética, e, de qualquer forma, a ética sempre está ligada ao tempo e aos desafios que o tempo coloca à responsabilidade humana. Mas hoje ambos os termos, o tempo e a ética, colocam uma pergunta fundamental à Providência Divina. Como falar de Providência onde toda a cultura pesa sobre a responsabilidade humana? Neste artigo, ilumina-se tal tensão com o tradicional binômio da graça e da natureza, do sobrenatural e natural, do dom e do esforço humano, binômio que atravessa a Teologia da Graça. Depois, com o referencial da figura trinitária de Deus na experiência de fé cristã, alarga-se o sentido da Providência e, ao mesmo tempo, se insere a responsabilidade humana em seus diferentes desafios contemporâneos no quadro da Providência, de forma participativa e responsável, diante dos outros, com os outros, para os outros.

Abstract: Current times raise new questions for ethics and, anyway, ethics has always been connected with time and with the challenges that time places before human responsibility. But nowadays both terms - time and ethics — pose an essential question to Divine Providence. How can we speak of Providence when the whole of culture has become a heavy human responsibility? In this article, the A. throws light on this tension with the help of the traditional binomial ofgrace and nature, of supernatural versus natural, of innate talent versus human effort, a binomial that crosses the Theology of Grace. Later, having as reference Gods Trinitarian figure in the experience of the Christian faith, the A. expands the meaning of Providence whilst simultane ously inserting human responsibility into its different contemporaiy challenges in the framework of Providence, in a participatoiy and responsible way, bejore the other, with the other and for the other.
