O sentido místico da consciência planetária

Resumo

O atual estágio do conhecimento humano provoca o despertar de uma consciência planetária. Porém, o simultâneo desejo-desafio está em direcionar e impulsionar esta consciência para a dimensão ética do cuidado pela Vida. O Autor propõe fazer isso, recorrendo ao patrimônio místico de todas as religiões. Desse patrimônio se deduz que o ser humano não só se interroga sobre o sentido da história e de si mesmo, mas, enquanto situado e agente da cultura ocidental, também se redescobre parte integrante da teia da vida, do universo vital. Este caminho de reverente aproximação e interlocução, enquanto dimensão ética, resgata o ser humano para o cuidado pela Vida em todas as suas manifestações. Esta dimensão de corresponsabilidade e parceria ganha destaque no momento em que o mesmo ser humano se dá conta de que, com sua voracidade e sua exploração predatória da Mãe-Terra, está cavando seu próprio túmulo.

Abstract: The present stage of human knowledge stimulates the awakening of a planetary awareness. However, the simultaneous wish-challenge lies in directing and impelling this awareness towards the ethical dimension of care for Life. The Author proposes to do just that by resorting to the mystical heritage of all religions. From this heritage we can deduct that human beings not only question themselves about the meaning of history and of themselves, but as agents of Western culture they also find themselves as an integral part of the web of life and of the vital universe. This path of respectful approximation and interlocution, as an ethical dimension, rescues the human being for the care for Life in all its manifestations. This dimension of co-responsibility and partnership becomes eminent when the human beings realize that with their voracity and predatory exploitation of Mother Earth they are digging their own grave.
