O risco como indagação moral

Resumo

O aumento dos riscos na sociedade pós-moderna ainda não suscitou a devida atenção da Teologia Moral, mas trata-se de um tema de grande relevância. Em vista disso, o artigo do Pe. Hubert Lepargneur salienta os seguintes pontos: a dimensão pastoral da teologia moral deve refletir sobre as implicações dos riscos que permeiam a pós-modernidade; não deve esquecer que por trás de toda situação de risco se perfila uma dimensão ética; enfim, a questão ainda está em aberto, pois não se deve esperar da Revelação, do Magistério ou da Teologia respostas simplistas para as novas situações da pós-modernidade, de extrema complexidade.

Abstract: The increasing number of risks in post-modern society has still not succeeded in attracting the attention it deserves on the part of Moral Theology, but it is indeed a very important issue. With this in mind, Father Hubert Lepargneur’s article emphasizes the following points: (I) the pastoral dimension of Moral Theology must reflect upon the implication of the risks pervading post-modernity; (II) it must not forget that behind every risk situation there stands an ethical dimension; (III) finally, the issue is still open, since we must not expect from the Revelation, from the Magisterium or indeed from Theology simple solutions for the extremely complex new situations of post-modernity.
